Let the Games Begin!
Games by their very nature are competitive with gamers competing against themselves as much as others.
For many digital campaigns this is seen as a viral opportunity that more often than not goes wrong because it fails to deliver any meaningful or measurable opportunity.
We formed Contagion Media based on original ideas we had and that still form part of our core technical framework related to adver or casual games. We wanted to deliver gaming technology that allowed them to 'go viral' and be seen as opportunity essentials rather than nice to haves, budget permitting.
Our core framework product, SuperCluster, is a social enabler for a range of digital assets. For games it allows a number of key modules to bolt together to form what would be an expensive 'one off' development cost, but with Contagion can be very cost effective and measurable.

1st Dimension: A simple game of Mahjong is perfectly playable on your own or perhaps within the family on a desktop, but what if you could invite your friends on any social network to a challenge? And perhaps that challenge was under-written by the prospect of an incentive scheme from a commercial company such as an online discount or printable voucher for use in-store?
2nd Dimension: Now we have a simple game offering that sponsoring company access to a network beyond the original seed and likely to be similar in taste and interests. These new contacts themselves may well extend the engagement by extending it to their social network - and so it goes on.
3rd Dimension: SuperBroadcast - all those scores and progress are being broadcast via RSS, ATOM, twitter and their social network walls. Suddenly you have even more opportunities as the success or failure of competitors is spread through their network.
4th Dimension: SuperMetrics bring back all that data into a resource you can mine, refine, exploit and measure the real return on investment - not just the opportunities.
